Small little park, not really fit for cooking out. This park however would do well with those wo do meditation and yoga. I found most visitors just sit in their car

Good place to hold events for families or organizations. Also a landmark with a civil rights plaque on site.

This is my favorite park to go to in Baltimore Co. Most days it is very quiet and chill, but there are events that are held at the park on occasion which can make the small park very saturated. The lake is really nice, but the litter truly saddens me, as there's lots of wildlife that occupy the lake and surrounding land that are affected by the trash in and around the lake. Outside of that, the park is very nice, it's small, but it's very spacious for parties, bbq's, and other events. It has a small playground for children, paths for walking, and seating near the lake to see the wildlife.

Needs more maintenance, repair, and upkeep around the pond/lake area. Nice play area for small kids. Hurricane Agnes destroyed the amusement park in 1972. The merry-go-round was later removed and re located to the National Mall near the place where Martin Luther King, jr. gave his famous speech.

Two stars only for the memories of a beautiful park with rides, amusements and lots of fun 60 years ago. When the white flight from West Baltimore became a stampede in the 60's, Gwynn Oak became a vandalized, unsafe and litter strewn no-man's land. Today it is totally an African American park albeit cleaned up a bit. Don't go in after dark now, Ya' hear!!
